What is Camera Pixel 4a?

Camera Pixel 4a is a pair of Android smartphones designed, developed, and marketed by Google as part of the product line. They communally serve as mid-range variants of the Pixel 4.

Camera Qualities of Pixel 4a

The most obvious reason you’ll pick up the Google Pixel 4a is for the insanely good camera. Indeed, you might not get as many lens options and, therefore, a distinct lack of focal lengths. Still, with results that often exceed some flagship devices, it’s impossible to complain about the stills that can produce.

Size of the Phone

Small and big phones are getting big, which lays the 4a in a strange site. While we wouldn’t say the 4a is “small” in the outdated sense, it’s dainty and pretty compact thanks to the 5.8-inch frame. Unfortunately, your choices are slim if you want something akin to the iPhone 12 Mini beyond the frankly hilarious Unihertz Jelly 2.

FHD+ displays are a little more ordinary on budget devices as of late, and the Pixel 4a has one underworld of a panel. For mezes, this is not an LCD. That is likely an enormous respite for many people, which means Always-on display features are present.

It’s a perfect AMOLED panel, too. One disgrace is the lack of a high revive rate, but unlike other affordable Android devices with high refresh rates — like the OnePlus Nord — there are no issues with colorcast or tints. 60Hz is fine for smaller screens, but we hope that future affordable Pixel devices get an upgrade with Smooth Display included.

A Long-Lasting Brightness

Brightness levels are good, meaning you should have no problems using the Pixel 4a in even direct sunlight. The lack of significant bezels is also something that helps immersion when watching videos and just generally interacting with the 4a. It’s a joy to use, and the display is at the very heart of the package here

The Battery of Pixel 4a

Our standard battery test for mobile phones has the following parameters:

  • Looping a 720p video with screen brightness and volume at 100%
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity turned on
  • Constant data streaming through email

The 3,140 mAh battery that powers the Google Pixel 4a is more substantial than the smaller 2,800 mAh battery that accompanied the Pixel 4. But during my time with it, the phone operated flawlessly for an entire day, something my Pixel 4 XL struggled to accomplish for a full year.

Regarding our battery life test, the Pixel 4a put up numbers in line with its battery capacity. However, it beat Oppo Reno2, which has an even larger 4,000 mAh battery.
